What made you choose psychology as a major when your parents didn't want you to do music? How did you get through a major that wasn't your first choice?

I took some core classes in Psych my freshman year and I liked them, so I chose that as my major. It became apparent that it would not be a career for me too late to change my major, and all I really wanted to do was finish and be done with college, so I stuck with it. It's super interesting and I still get in excited conversations with people about brains and things. It was definitely difficult to get through, but more because of social issues than the classes. One of my psych professors is one of my favorite people I've ever met and it was probably all worth it just to have learned from him.
